For decades, Elks Lodge 39 at 6410 S 96th Street has stood as a cornerstone of South Omaha, where neighbors become brothers and sisters in service. Step inside our historic hall and you'll feel the warmth immediately—polished wood, the aroma of chef Greg's legendary home-cooked meals, and the unmistakable sound of laughter echoing from every corner. Whether you're stopping by for a late-night Thanksgiving Eve dinner when other kitchens have closed, gathering with fellow veterans, or simply seeking a place where you're always welcome, our lodge delivers something rare: authentic belonging. We honor our founding principles of charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity while adapting to serve today's Omaha families. Our members range from lifelong Ralston residents to newcomers looking to put down roots. Every event, every meal, and every meeting is rooted in the simple truth that when people come together with open hearts and helping hands, communities thrive.

What We Offer

Our lodge offers far more than a place to gather. Members enjoy chef-prepared meals featuring Greg's signature dishes that draw locals from across the metro. We host regular community fundraisers supporting local veterans, youth programs, and families in crisis. Our calendar includes holiday celebrations, live entertainment nights, and family-friendly events where kids are genuinely welcome. For those seeking deeper involvement, we provide leadership opportunities, community service projects, and the chance to represent Omaha at Nebraska Elks conventions. Business networking happens naturally among our diverse membership, while our bar and dining areas offer comfortable spaces for casual meetups or private celebrations. Annual membership keeps costs low while delivering year-round access to events, meals, and the irreplaceable feeling of belonging to something meaningful.

"We went there about 9:30 at night to eat on Thanksgiving Eve. I've never been in an elks Lodge before so it's difficult for me to make any kind of comparisons. They were basically out of food so we didn't get to eat anything. And there was one fella doing a lot of yelling. I don't know if he was drunk or what but overall my experience there was not really good."

"I can’t even give 0 stars but if I could, i would. this was absolutely horrible. Screaming and kicking the whole party out for false accusations. You then proceeded to tell us we would not get our deposit if we did not clean up so we began to clean and they threaten to call the police on us for not getting out. Do not, I repeat, do NOT rent this venue. Find a different place for your wedding and/or event."
